Painter, dancer, fashion designer, actor, director, choreographer…each is an aspect that makes up the multi-faceted, highly motived artist June Coles. Her attendance at three prestigious New York schools, The American School of Ballet, the McDowell School of Fashion, and the Parsons School of Design, laid a stable foundation where Coles has constructed a lifetime of artwork. She worked twenty-six years as a fashion illustrator and buyer and danced professionally in her spare time. After retiring, her art came into full swing. Her realistic paintings in watercolor, oil, and pastels feature oceans, local beach scenes, house portraits, and pets. The artist states, “Art keeps me young, and my paintings are full of bright and happy colors.”
